In the quiet, early morning hours of May 1, 2021, a tragedy unfolded in a rural cabin south of Huntsville, Arkansas. Mary Marlene Simmons, a 65-year-old female, was found deceased in her home on Madison County Road 5675. The peaceful residence she shared with her husband, Richard Simmons Jr., her brother-in-law, Mark Lee Simmons, and her son, Samuel Oliver Simmons, became the scene of a violent crime.
