On the evening of May 6, 2021, a burst of violence shattered the peace in the small city of Brinkley, Arkansas, leading to the untimely death of 33-year-old Bernard Pearson. The fatal encounter unfolded shortly before 6:00 PM in the parking lot of the Brinkley Housing Authority office located at 418 Chicago Street.
