On May 28, 2021, 36-year-old Amber Sue Belcher Dunigan was found deceased in her car along Arkansas Highway 16, near Fayetteville. She had suffered a gunshot wound to the head. Her husband, Jason Ross Dunigan, initially reported her missing and later discovered her body. Investigators soon identified him as a suspect in her death.
