A college student is attacked while walking home from the University of Arkansas On the evening of April 12, 1971, 27-year-old Pauline Storment, a University of Arkansas student, was brutally murdered while walking home from campus in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was attacked and stabbed multiple times on South Duncan Avenue, just a short distance from her apartment. Witnesses reported seeing a man following Pauline shortly before the attack, and one witness even noted the man wore a brown sports coat and had disheveled hair.
