On July 17, 2021, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, 21-year-old Me'Akel Lendun Martin was fatally shot in a domestic-related incident at a residence on Belmoor Avenue. His mother, aged 55, also sustained gunshot wounds but survived with non-life-threatening injuries.
