In Little Rock, Arkansas, on a Saturday afternoon, Daniel Wayne Dunnahoo, a 60-year-old man, was working at Westside Wine and Spirits on North Rodney Parham Road. It was July 17, 2021, a day that would tragically be his last. While attending to the drive-through window of the liquor store, a violent encounter unfolded, and Dunnahoo was fatally shot.
The suddenness of the act left the community in shock and mourning for the loss of a man simply doing his job.
Responding to the incident at approximately 5 p.m., Little Rock police officers discovered Dunnahoo suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the immediate medical attention he received, he was later pronounced dead. The investigation into his death quickly identified a suspect, leading to a search for a 34-year-old man named Patrick Brown.
