In the early morning hours of December 5, 2021, the body of 19-year-old Trevaughn Walker, a Black male, was discovered by a Fordyce police officer. Walker was found lying in the street near the intersection of South Charlotte and Brown streets in Fordyce, Arkansas. He had sustained what would prove to be fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene around 12:30 a.m.
