On June 27, 2022, at approximately 12:33 a.m., West Memphis police responded to a report of shots fired at 815 Madison Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered two individuals deceased from gunshot wounds. The female victim was identified as 38-year-old Nedra Barnes, and the male victim as 41-year-old Curtis Moore. Preliminary evidence suggested a possible murder-suicide, with Moore believed to have fatally shot Barnes before taking his own life.
