On an August evening in Little Rock, Arkansas, the life of Glean 'G.G.' Albert Finley III, a 23-year-old Black / African American male, was tragically cut short. On August 13, 2022, police responded to a call of 'shots fired' at 900 South Rodney Parham Road. Arriving officers discovered Finley inside his vehicle, suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel were unable to save him and pronounced him deceased at the scene. His body was then taken to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.

The Little Rock Police Department's Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Search Unit immediately began their investigation into the city's rising number of homicides that year. Detectives canvassed the area, searching for potential witnesses and any surveillance footage that might have captured the events leading to Finley's death. The vehicle he was found in was towed to the Little Rock Crime Scene bays to be processed for evidence. Despite these efforts, the investigation has yet to yield a suspect.

As of the latest available information, no arrests have been made in connection with the murder of Glean Finley. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward and contact homicide detectives or use the anonymous tip line. The loss was deeply felt by his family, including his two sons, Giovanni and Josiah, his parents, and numerous siblings and relatives. Funeral services were held at the Greater Rose of Sharon Baptist Church in Little Rock, where family and friends gathered to mourn the young father.
