David McClure, age 24, was shot and killed on December 25, 2016, in the West Pullman neighborhood of Chicago's Far South Side. McClure was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the 1100 block of West 112th Place. His death was part of a violent Christmas weekend during which 11 people were killed and at least 49 others injured in shootings across the city. This tragic event occurred during one of the most violent years in recent Chicago history, where homicide rates had surged dramatically.
