On November 29, 2024, at approximately 12:55 a.m., 69-year-old Leon Ratcliff was fatally shot in the 2600 block of Melbourne Street in north Houston. Officers responding to the scene found Ratcliff unresponsive in the roadway with a gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical attention and transport to Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, he was pronounced deceased.
