In the small community of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, a grim discovery was made on December 18, 2024. Fifty-seven-year-old John Elkins, a local resident, was found deceased near Slater Road and Rock Hill Cemetery Road. The cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound. Christopher Lee Thomas was subsequently arrested and faced the charge of first-degree murder. Following his arrest, he was booked into the McCurtain County Jail.
