On December 22, 2024, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Cleveland police responded to reports of a shooting in the 2600 block of East 71st Street in the city's Central neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered 37-year-old Andre Williams suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency Medical Services transported Williams to University Hospitals, where he was pronounced dead. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner later confirmed his identity and ruled the death a homicide.
