On December 7, 2024, at approximately 1:12 p.m., Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a reported shooting near Lake Mead Boulevard and D Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 36-year-old Paul Burkhart Jr. and his wife, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
