In the early morning hours of December 7, 2024, the life of 33-year-old Julian Luciano Gonzales Arroyo was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in Saginaw, Michigan. A Hispanic male known for his vibrant personality and generous spirit, Julian was a beloved figure in his community. The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of Delaware Street. He was quickly transported to a local hospital, but tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Julian was a man deeply rooted in his faith and family. Raised in the church, he was an active member of Greater Dimensions Church, where his father serves as a pastor. His kindness was legendary among those who knew him; he was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Beyond his spiritual commitments, Julian was a passionate sports enthusiast, with a particular love for basketball. He was known for organizing teams for the annual Gus Macker tournament in Ludington, a testament to his love for the game and his ability to bring people together. In 2022, he channeled his strong work ethic into his own business, Mid-Michigan Lawn Care, where he built a reputation for reliability and developed strong relationships with his clients.
The investigation into Julian's death led to a significant development in January 2025. On the 17th of that month, authorities arrested 18-year-old Jeremiah D. Jimerson in connection with the shooting. The arrest was the culmination of diligent work by the Saginaw Police Department and the Michigan State Police. Following his arrest, Jimerson was arraigned in Saginaw County District Court on a litany of charges, including open murder, armed robbery, carjacking, and four counts of felony firearm. During the arraignment, he was denied bond and remanded into custody.
