On November 21, 2024, at approximately 5:22 p.m., 34-year-old Gary Matthews Jr. was fatally shot in the 4900 block of Frankford Avenue in Baltimore, Maryland. Officers responding to reports of gunfire found Matthews unresponsive, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of emergency medical personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
