On December 13, 2024, at approximately 5:16 p.m., 28-year-old Cordarryl D. Cole was fatally shot while seated as a passenger in a car on West Adams Street in Chicago's Garfield Park neighborhood. The assailant fired a shot that struck Cole in the head. Emergency responders transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
