On November 30, 2024, 57-year-old Clayous "Paul" Peart was fatally shot inside his home in Plantation, Florida. The incident occurred in the 7000 block of West Sunrise Boulevard, where Peart resided with his wife and her son, 27-year-old Haile Selassie Richards.
