On November 22, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Lemoore police responded to reports of gunfire near East Hanford Armona Road and 18th Avenue. Upon arrival at Heritage Park, officers discovered 14-year-old Noah Sullivan suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
In the days following his death, Noah's family and friends gathered for a vigil at Heritage Park to honor his memory. Attendees shared stories highlighting his love for basketball and Flamin' Hot Cheetos. Many wore matching t-shirts bearing the hashtag #LLN, standing for "Live Long Noah," with the phrase "gone but never forgotten" accompanied by angel wings on the back. His sister, Nya Dennis, emphasized that Noah was "probably the sweetest, most go-lucky, goofy kid" she had ever met, countering any negative perceptions that might arise from the circumstances of his death.
Noah's grandmother recalled his aspirations to join the military, inspired by his grandfather and stepfather, and noted his eagerness to assist family members, describing him as "just a joy to be around." His cousin, Cordae Hunter, expressed the deep bond they shared, stating, "We did everything together, we had fun together." The outpouring of love and memories from the community underscored the significant impact Noah had during his 14 years.
