Elmer Jonathan Diaz, a 31-year-old police officer from Lemoore, California, tragically lost his life on November 2, 2019. Officer Diaz was attending a birthday party at a home on Eddy Street, near Carolyn Avenue, in Hanford when he intervened in a domestic violence incident. A partygoer was being violently assaulted by her boyfriend, and Officer Diaz managed to move the woman outside to safety.
