On December 20, 2024, 62-year-old Wendell Harmon and his wife, 58-year-old Beverly Harmon, were found deceased in their Altadena, California home. Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Altadena station responded to a welfare check at the couple's residence on the 700 block of West Sacramento Street, near Casitas Avenue, at approximately 8:04 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered both individuals had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office later identified the victims and confirmed the cause of death as homicide due to multiple gunshot wounds. Wendell was employed by Pasadena's Parks and Recreation Department, while Beverly had a long career in finance before starting a home health aide business. Family members described them as the "ultimate power couple" who had been married for over 30 years.
As of now, authorities have not identified any suspects or made any arrests in connection with the case.
