In the small community of Quinton, Alabama, a tragic event unfolded on the evening of Friday, December 20, 2024, ending the life of 64-year-old Floyd John Franklin. Deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a residence on McCarty Town Road at approximately 8:15 p.m. following a report of a person shot.
