On January 15, 2023, 32-year-old San Antonio resident Pete Michael "Flaco" Barrera passed away. He was a devoted father, son, brother, friend, and uncle, cherished by his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Juanita Gomez and Pedro Barrera; his children, Emma Jay Flota, Elena Flota, and Jeremiah Barrera; and several siblings, grandparents, nieces, and nephews. A visitation and rosary were held on February 4, 2023, in his honor.
