On January 16, 2023, Joe Guzman, a 60-year-old esteemed boxing coach from Fort Worth, Texas, was fatally shot in his home following a dispute with a juvenile family member. The altercation began as a verbal argument and escalated into a physical confrontation, culminating in the juvenile shooting Guzman multiple times. Emergency responders arrived at the residence on Ray Simon Drive, but Guzman was pronounced dead at the scene.
