On January 22, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas, 25-year-old Angelica "Angel" Marissa LeFevre tragically lost her life due to an accidental shooting. The incident occurred in a residence on the 3700 block of Neches Street, where Angelica and a male acquaintance were discussing gun safety. During their conversation, the man unintentionally discharged a handgun, fatally wounding Angelica.
Following the incident, the male involved was arrested by authorities.
He was identified as an Arlington resident. After a thorough investigation, detectives concluded that the shooting was accidental, leading to the man's arrest.
Angelica was born on April 11, 1997, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, to Joseph White and April Morales. From a young age, she exhibited a passion for soccer, playing for traveling teams in Las Cruces and continuing her involvement in the sport throughout her high school years in Clovis, New Mexico. After graduating from Clovis High School in 2015, she relocated to Fort Worth, Texas, to pursue her adult life. Angelica had a deep love for cars and racing, and she enjoyed music, dancing, and modeling. She was known for her vibrant personality, beautiful smile, and infectious laughter, which left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Angelica's untimely passing has left a profound void in the lives of her family and friends. She is survived by her mother, April Morales, her father, Joseph White, and several siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends who cherished her dearly. Funeral services were held on February 13, 2023, at Baca’s Funeral Chapel in Las Cruces, followed by interment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
The tragic circumstances of Angelica's death serve as a somber reminder of the critical importance of firearm safety and the devastating consequences that can arise from even a momentary lapse in caution.
