On January 27, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas, 32-year-old Edward Acosta Jiménez was found fatally shot inside a vehicle alongside 25-year-old Alyssa Perez. The discovery was made by Jiménez's mother outside her residence in the 400 block of Trudell Drive. She alerted authorities after noticing the unfamiliar car and its occupants. Upon arrival, police found both victims with multiple gunshot wounds and collected several shell casings and a plastic cup with potential fingerprints from the scene.
