Death by Force

On February 16, 2023, 17-year-old Marcos Alonzo Orta, a senior at Galena Park High School in Galena Park, Texas, was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Baggett Community Center, adjacent to the high school. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. when Orta was approached by two individuals. During the confrontation, he was shot multiple times, sustaining injuries to his neck, face, and arm.
