On July 16, 2018, 21-year-old Olivia Serrano was tragically killed in Helena, Montana. Her death was ruled a homicide, and investigators believe she was shot and killed by 26-year-old Richard Ferris, who then took his own life.

The bodies of Serrano and Ferris were discovered in a Helena home after police responded to a call. While the exact nature of their relationship remains unclear, authorities have stated they were acquaintances.
