Katherine Elizabeth Spencer, a 23-year-old from Helena, Montana, was tragically killed on July 1, 2017. Her boyfriend, Skyler Schneider, was arrested and charged with deliberate homicide in connection to her death.

Prosecutors alleged that Schneider shot Spencer in the head while she was sitting in a car. He then reported the shooting to authorities, and a 9mm handgun was found near the scene. Although Schneider admitted to arguing with Spencer, he denied shooting her.
