On March 5, 2023, 45-year-old Gavin R. Ally was found deceased in his home on Olympic Park Lane in Humble, Texas. A friend discovered Ally's body after noticing his garage door was open and his black 2014 Lexus missing. Responding deputies from the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office found Ally with a gunshot wound to the torso; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators identified 27-year-old Emound Kornelious Mosley as a suspect in the case.
Mosley, a convicted felon on parole, had previously violated parole conditions and was out on bond for an evading arrest charge at the time of the incident. Authorities allege that Mosley fatally shot Ally during a robbery and stole his vehicle. He was arrested without incident on March 8, 2023, and charged with capital murder. His bond was set at $500,000.
