On March 28, 2023, at approximately 6:45 p.m., 43-year-old Joel Villarreal was fatally shot in the parking lot of a strip center located at 7550 Long Point Road in Houston, Texas. Villarreal sustained a gunshot wound and was found unresponsive on the ground. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
