On the evening of April 7, 2023, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Grand Prairie police responded to a shooting incident in the 2400 block of North Carrier Parkway. Upon arrival, officers discovered 33-year-old Daniel Garcia with a fatal gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigations, including witness interviews, suggest that Garcia was approached by three unidentified men who attempted to rob him at gunpoint. During the robbery, one of the assailants shot Garcia, resulting in his death.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with this case. The Grand Prairie Police Department continues to actively investigate the incident and is seeking assistance from the public to identify and apprehend the suspects involved.
