On April 29, 2023, at approximately 7:40 p.m., Dallas police officers responded to a shooting call in the 1200 block of Red Bird Lane. Upon arrival, they discovered 38-year-old Clovis Dawayne Braxton in a business parking lot, suffering from a gunshot wound. Braxton was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
