On May 29, 2023, at approximately 4:22 a.m., Killeen Police Department officers responded to a shooting incident in the 1600 block of Benttree Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered 23-year-old Brook Elaine Ball suffering from a gunshot wound. She was immediately airlifted to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in critical condition.
