On June 6, 2023, at approximately 3 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to reports of an unresponsive individual at the Pointe North Apartments, located at 3710 Magnolia Street in Beaumont, Texas. Upon arrival, officers discovered 26-year-old Curtis Crawford deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. Preliminary investigations suggested that the shooting occurred between midnight and 1 a.m.
