In the early hours of June 10, 2023, Longview Police Department officers responded to a shooting incident in the 600 block of Harrison Street in Longview, Texas. Upon arrival, they discovered two male victims with gunshot wounds. Nineteen-year-old Aleksei Gamez was pronounced dead at the scene, while his brother, 18-year-old Alexander Gamez, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Tragically, Alexander succumbed to his injuries on June 13, 2023.
