On July 4, 2023, Joan Frank, 62, was found deceased in her Wichita Falls, Texas, residence. Police responded to a welfare check at the home on Craigmont Drive around 11:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Frank in an upstairs bedroom with fatal gunshot wounds. Her husband, identified as 65-year-old Cedric Sartin, was found in an adjacent bedroom suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with serious injuries.
