On July 30, 2023, at approximately 8:54 p.m., Killeen police responded to reports of gunfire in the 3300 block of East Rancier Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 24-year-old Richard Xavier Solomon suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical services transported Solomon to Seton Medical Center Harker Heights, where he was pronounced dead at 9:47 p.m.
