On August 16, 2023, 47-year-old Jesús Reyes Tamez was found deceased inside his pickup truck on Old Pearsall Road in southwest Bexar County, San Antonio, Texas. A passerby discovered the vehicle with Tamez slumped over in the driver's seat and alerted authorities. Upon arrival, law enforcement determined that Tamez had suffered two gunshot wounds to the head, and the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office ruled his death a homicide.
