Brandon Marquis Broadnax, a 34-year-old African American man from San Antonio, Texas, tragically lost his life on August 1, 2022. He was fatally shot while working out at an LA Fitness gym on the North Side of San Antonio. The suspect, Jessie Marquis MacWilliams, a 32-year-old man with a long criminal history in Bexar County, was arrested and charged with murder. According to Broadnax's sister, he did not know the suspect and was known as the peacemaker of the family.
