On September 3, 2023, 53-year-old Nora Pena-Stewart was tragically killed in Alvarado, Texas, in what authorities have described as an apparent murder-suicide. Law enforcement officials reported that both Pena-Stewart and a male individual were found deceased from gunshot wounds outside a residence in Johnson County. The initial investigation suggests that the male individual fatally shot Pena-Stewart before turning the gun on himself.
