On September 9, 2023, at approximately 11:20 p.m., 31-year-old Nycholas Shields was fatally shot while seated in his Cadillac at a stoplight near the Valero Gas Station at the intersection of Walnut Hill Lane and Composite Drive in Northwest Dallas.
