On the evening of September 26, 2023, 19-year-old DeSean Albert Nichols-Reese was fatally shot in northeast Harris County, Texas. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Greenglen Drive near the Beltway. DeSean was found in the street, having suffered at least five gunshot wounds. He was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital by Life Flight but succumbed to his injuries early the following morning.
Witnesses reported seeing an individual running in the area around the time of the shooting. One account described the person fleeing eastbound before turning back westbound out of the neighborhood toward John Ralston Road. Investigators also learned that DeSean had been conversing with someone in an unidentified vehicle just before the shooting. However, no detailed descriptions of the vehicle or its occupants have been provided, and the motive for the shooting remains unclear.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with DeSean's death. The Harris County Sheriff's Office continues to seek information from the public to aid in identifying the suspect or suspects involved.
