On October 9, 2023, at approximately 2:40 p.m., 49-year-old Soldem Harris was fatally shot in the parking lot of a convenience store located at 6303 Eastland Street in Houston, Texas. Responding officers from the Houston Police Department (HPD) found Harris suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical assistance and transportation to Ben Taub General Hospital, Harris was pronounced deceased upon arrival.
