On October 18, 2023, 20-year-old Fernando Martinez Godina was fatally shot during a robbery at the Autumn Run Apartments in Balch Springs, Texas. The incident occurred between 12:30 a.m. and 1 a.m., when an assailant targeted Martinez Godina, stealing a substantial quantity of THC vape pens. Surveillance footage captured the suspect fleeing from Martinez Godina's vehicle immediately after the shooting.
