On the evening of November 15, 2023, at approximately 9:53 p.m., Waco Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1100 block of North 6th Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 24-year-old Michael Everett Jr. suffering from a severe gunshot wound. Everett was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he remained in critical condition until he succumbed to his injuries on November 17, 2023.
