On November 22, 2023, in Rendon, Texas, 60-year-old Shari Bailey and her 84-year-old mother, Bertha Bailey, were fatally shot in their home on Joalene Court. The Tarrant County Sheriff's Office identified Shari's daughter, 25-year-old Kaitlyn Marie Bailey, as the primary suspect. A manhunt ensued, and she was apprehended on November 24, 2023. Kaitlyn was charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, with her bond set at $200,000.
