On January 1, 2024, a tragic incident unfolded in Orange, Texas, resulting in the deaths of four individuals. Among the deceased was 34-year-old Porsha Sauntavious Kiel Lewis, who was found alongside her father, 53-year-old Bobby Kiel, her daughter, 17-year-old Janiya Lewis, and 33-year-old Lester Lewis. The Orange Police Department responded to a shooting report at 2406 North 8th Street around 7:50 a.m., where they discovered the four victims with fatal gunshot wounds.
Investigations revealed that Lester Lewis, who had a prior relationship with Porsha and shared children with her, was identified as the shooter. He fatally shot Porsha, her father Bobby, and her daughter Janiya before taking his own life in what authorities have classified as a triple murder-suicide.

Porsha was remembered as a devoted mother who cherished her children. She was preceded in death by her firstborn, Kaideinse, and is survived by her children Jaideinse, K'Cyn, and Jacilyn.
