On January 22, 2024, at approximately 6:30 a.m., 18-year-old Jesus E. Zamores was fatally shot during a failed drive-by shooting in northwest Harris County, near Houston, Texas. Zamores and his 14-year-old cousin were in a stolen black Hyundai Sonata, targeting a 16-year-old boy waiting at a bus stop near East Marsham Circle and Antoine Drive. The cousins made two attempts to shoot the teenager, who managed to escape unharmed.
