On January 24, 2024, at approximately 1:10 a.m., Houston police officers responded to a shooting incident at 9923 Valley Club Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered 40-year-old Roger Boutte unresponsive in the driveway, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics from the Houston Fire Department pronounced Boutte deceased at the scene. A second victim, a 41-year-old man, was found nearby with a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
